3. Safety Requirements

|(3) Welding should be strictly checked. The pressure vessel welding training assessment to obtain the operating qualification of the welder to welding, the general use of x-shaped groove double-sided welding, to be penetration, no inclusions, cracks, craters, bubbles, bite and other defects. Before welding to warm up, the electrode to dry, weld repair can not be more than twice. Weld all use ultrasonic flaw detector (internal and external surface inspection), and use magnetic particle detector to check the surface, with x-ray film inspection, the greater the better the proportion of checks. |(5) Strength test & air tightness test should be done.|
1) strength test. Oxygen tank installation is completed, must be water pressure test, check the construction quality, to ensure its safety and reliability. The test pressure is 1.25 times the design maximum working pressure. Under the test pressure should be observed for 10-30 minutes. No drop in pressure, the appearance of no deformation, no water, no rupture were qualified. Test water must be clean and free of grease. After the end of the strength test, the water should be blown dry so as to avoid corrosion. The strength test can also be done with the warm water overload pressure test to eliminate the welding residual stress. Strength test can also be done with nitrogen or without Shan air. The test pressure is 1.15 times the design maximum working pressure.
2) air tightness test. After the strength test, with air or oil-free air at the design of the maximum working pressure for air tightness test. At the same time with a fat-free soapy water leaks to check the tightness of the tank. 24 hour leak rate is less than 5% for qualified. After the airtight test is passed, the tank should be blown with oil-free air or nitrogen. Wipe with a white cloth, do not see water, impurities so far. Or from the human hole into the people after cleaning clean with carbon tetrachloride degreasing.
